Speaking of Courage-Synthesis of a soldier's burden

Prussian general and military theorist Carl Von Clausewitz once wrote that "War is the continuation of politics by other means." This platitude serves to help rationalize the function of war; however, those who send soldiers off to war do not anticipate the enduring effects of war that surviving soldiers face upon their return.

Carefully review the sources from class discussing war and the soldier. Then, synthesize information from at least four of the sources and incorporate it into a coherent, well-developed essay that examines the range issues associated with soldiers emotional state during and after war.

Make sure your argument is central; use the sources to illustrate and support your reasoning. Avoid merely summarizing the sources. Indicate clearly which sources you are drawing from, whether through direct quotation, paraphrase, or summary. You may cite the sources as Source A, Source B, etc., or by using the descriptions in parentheses.

On Classroom, I posted a note page to manage your sources. Remember we are looking for a range of issues so do not be content to park your examination at just one issue.
